Heritage Weekend at Haslingden Cemetery Chapel

As part of the Heritage weekend celebrations held at the Haslingden Cemetery on Grane Road on the 10th and 11th September 2022.

There were lots of visitors over the weekend who wanted to find out about the History of the Cemetry and the surrounding beautiful countryside we have.

People could browse through the Cemetery Records and there was also a photographic exhibition of the Grane area.

GRAss members were involved in a fund raising exercise for the defibrillator to be situated at the Holden Arms This include providing home-made cakes, scones and cups of tea, courtesy of our Chair Andrew Taylor, as well as a book stall.

There was also an impromptu rendition to Queen Elizabeth and our new King by two members of Rossendale Male Voice Choir!

The event helped to raise £220 towards the fund, with the bookstall contributing a further £130.

Many thanks to all that helped over the weekend
